SUMMARY:Beginning Birding for Teens
DESCRIPTION:This fall to spring program will offer monthly bird walks led by California Naturalist and Audubon member Randy Hardwood. We will stroll through the grounds of the historic rancho and watch both resident birds and seasonal migrants. Participants will also listen to the calls and songs\, and potentially observe nesting as the seasons progress. \nMeet in the lower parking lot at 8 a.m. sharp. Wear comfortable closed toed shoes and bring a hat and binoculars\, if you have them. We also have a limited number of binoculars to lend\, thanks to the generosity of Vortex Optics. \nThis event repeats on the fourth Saturday of every month from October to May. Teens can go once\, or sign up for the whole series! RSVP by 8 a.m. the day before the event: 562-206-2041 or rancho@rancholoscerritos.org. Free. Rain cancels.
