SUMMARY:Rancho Los Cerritos x Liberation Brewing New Release!
DESCRIPTION:The newest beer from our partnership with Liberation Brewing; Don Juan Temple Saison – Strawberry Guava will be on tap this Friday!\n \nLiberation Brewing Company in Bixby Knolls has created the next in a series of beers commemorating Rancho Los Cerritos’ 175th anniversary. Each beer is infused with fruit from the Rancho’s historic trees or inspired by its history. The next special\, limited-release officially taps Friday\, November 22nd. \nThe fifth beer in the series\, Don Juan Temple Saison – Strawberry Guava\, a simple Belgian-style Saison developed to serve as a platform for the plethora of unique fruit grown on-site\, will release for sale to the public Friday\, November 22nd\, 2019 at the brewery’s tasting room\, located at 3630 Atlantic Ave\, Long Beach\, CA 90807. Historically\, Saisons were low alcohol beers brewed for summer seasonal workers to keep them hydrated\, as the water was not safe to drink. It’s possible a sheep shearer or ranch hand at Rancho Los Cerritos enjoyed a Saison or two back in the day. \nLiberation Brewing Company’s co-owner and brewer Eric McLaughlin eagerly shared why a partnership with Rancho Los Cerritos is important to Liberation. “We are a small\, local brewery and are always excited when asked to team up with local institutions\,” he said. \n“When the historic adobe was built\, in 1844\, Rancho Los Cerritos encompassed 27\,000 acres\, including much of present-day Long Beach\,” Rancho Los Cerritos Executive Director Alison Bruesehoff said. “Brewery Knolls is on former Rancho land\, so a partnership with Liberation was fitting.” \nRancho Los Cerritos Don Juan Temple Saison varietals will be on tap at Liberation while supplies last. \nMix and mingle with RLC staff\, volunteers\, and board members for happy hour on Friday after work to taste test the latest creation. This beer is a Saison flavored with strawberry guavas from the Rancho Los Cerritos orchard.
