DESCRIPTION:This lecture is part of a collaboration with the Theodore Payne Foundation. \nNative Plant Garden Maintenance \nInstructor: Andrew Chaves \nDescription\n\n\n\nJoin us for a special California native plant maintenance program co-hosted by Theodore Payne Foundation and Rancho Los Cerritos. \nSubjects covered include watering\, fertilizing (or not)\, grooming\, mulching\, pest management and other aspects of garden maintenance. You’ll also discover how native plants respond to pruning cuts (good and bad)\, what we trigger with our gardening activities\, and how to develop good maintenance goals. Part of the class with be held outdoors; bring your hat and water bottle. \nPresentation will be followed by a tour of the Rancho’s grounds. \nParking\nThe parking lot is located before the main entrance to your right. A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available on site after you drive through the main entrance gates on the left- and right-hand side. We will do our best to ensure everyone with a DP placard gets an accessible spot.
